Dr. Peak is a Naturopathic Doctor practicing Functional Medicine--systematically finding the root causes of chronic health conditions and correcting those imbalances to support people back to health. She works with patients experiencing diabetes, inflammation and the resulting pain, autoimmune conditions, hormonal issues including adrenal imbalance, and many digestive problems. Naturopaths are known for how carefully they listen to what someone is experiencing and for using natural, drugless methods of support such as nutrition, botanical medicine, homeopathic remedies and lifestyle changes. Having taught 30 college-level science courses to nearly 500 students, Dr. Peak especially enjoys the patient education aspect of caring for her patients.
Raised in suburban Chicago and then Florida, Marjorie Peak obtained a bachelor's degree in Literature at Florida State University where she was president of the LIT honor society and the SCUBA club. She was working at a local health food store giving advice on nutrition, herbs and supplements when she found out about naturopathic medicine and knew it was her calling. She then completed the other half of pre-med college courses, followed by attending naturopathic college in Portland, Oregon and transferred to Phoenix, Arizona where she graduated from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine.
Dr. Peak is a member of the California Naturopathic Doctors Association. These days she prefers reading non-fiction such as medical research, history and Bible study. When not working or reading she is likely to be singing, cooking and spending as much time with her college-age sons as she can.
