Steps We Are Taking To Protect Our Patients and Staff
• We are encouraging all patients & staff who suspect they have any of the symptoms of the coronavirus to stay home and notify us immediately.
• Anyone with a family member at home who is sick with anything contagious is also being asked to stay home and care for them to minimize the risk to others.
• We are spacing outpatient appointments throughout the day so as to minimize the number of patients in the waiting area at any one time.
• We have installed hand sanitizer stations upon entering and exiting the building, as well as throughout the common areas and treatment rooms.
• You will see the doctors and staff sanitizing their hands before and after they touch any patient.
• We have arranged the patient waiting area furniture to provide greater distance between chairs (social distancing) so that patients are sitting at least 5-6 apart to minimize contact.
• We have trained all of the staff in identifying the potential symptoms of the coronavirus and the immediate steps to take if they suspect someone may have the symptoms.
• We have retrained all staff in proper hand washing and sanitizing practices to minimize the spread of germs.
• We are cleaning and disinfecting all frequently touched surfaces in the waiting area and the treatment areas continuously throughout each day.
• We have assigned at least one full time staff person to clean and disinfect the office continuously throughout the day.
• We are encouraging patients to use “tap to pay” or credit/debit cards to minimize the handling of cash.
• Credit card machines are disinfected after each use.
• We are giving out information sheets and instructions on proper hand washing, cleaning and disinfecting procedures to minimize the spread of germs.
• We are giving out information on local resources for virus testing and websites to stay up-to-date with the current spread of the virus and emergency procedures.
• We are giving out instructions on how to safely care for friends and family who may have contracted the virus. (And asking these people not to come in to the clinic.)
